Column Definitions

• New Tier - Round Robin Pairings for the following Week

• Total Points - Determines overall standings (Teams earn +3 for a win in Tier 1, +2 for Tier 2, +1 for Tier 3). Top 7/8 are the new Division A teams.  Bottom 7/8 are Division 2. Right before playoffs, a determination will be made on which division has 8 teams.  For the team ranked 8th, they will be placed in the division where it's record is most aligned.

• Total Wins/Losses - Cumulative team wins/losses
• Differential - shown when 3 teams in a tier are tied for latest week (highest differential moves up, lowest moves down)
• Direction - Shows team movement based on results of last week

Location:           The Pickleball Club at Tysons

When:                 Wednesday nights from 7-10pm

• Start Date is September 4
• Last Date is October 23 (Finals)
• Please stay flexible, Start and End dates may be pushed back per team needs

# of weeks:       8

Format:             

• Round Robin each night (Regular Season), with 4 matches (games to 15 by 2)
• Anything goes team format (Men, Women, or Mixed allowed)

• The last night (Oct 23) will be the finals, where we break teams into 2 divisions (top 7/8 teams in A, and lower 7/8 teams in B) and have a 7 or 8 team double-elimination bracket for each.  All teams are in a bracket, and seeded by their Total Points!  1st and 2nd place teams in each division will split the pool at 75/25%. (NOTE: if a true A Division team drops to B Division due to forfeits/subs, they will be kept in the A Division.  

• Subs ARE allowed BUT...sub must have a lower DUPR, AND as we know, DUPR can be inaccurate so player must also be considered by the league to be less skilled than the replaced player!

Divisions:         

• Two divisions, A and B
• Initially ranked by Team DUPR, then on-going record

Registration:    

• If you are registering with a teammate or individually, you both still "Register as an Individual" vs. as a team.  We will match you with the teammate you specify!

Cost:

• Per person - $160 + $20 to prize pool (total $180)
• Just $22.50 per week

Payout:              

1st and 2nd place teams in each division will split the pool at 75/25%.

• Estimated about $500 payout per division
• We will do our best to determine how many teams will be in A vs. B Divisions (skill-based)
• Division winners increase their Legends Gold Challenge (Details here) total as well!

Other Info:

• Results will NOT be entered in DUPR
• A max team DUPR of 9.5 is allowed
• DUPR is only used for initial seeding for Week 1
• Will use 2-digit DUPR rating (not rounded) 
• If you or your partner cannot make a week, please get a sub for that week. Subs are allowed as long as the new player's DUPR is LESS THAN the replaced player!
• Getting your own partner is highly recommended, but if you can't find one, there are two ways we can assist:
